How close have you been to a tiger in the wild? How more close can it get? This was photographed during a wildlife safari in the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve near Chandrapura in Maharashtra, India. We had been waiting for the tiger to come out of the waters. After a long wait, the tiger decided to move towards the elephants carrying the tourists and photographers, making our hearts skip a beat in anticipation of what would happen. But after a close look, the tiger went its way. As we found out later, the people on the elephants had been scared out of their wits. It was a challenging light to photograph in, with a heat induced haze over the lake. Being on the other side of the lake turned out to be truly rewarding.

Yikes! I'd be frozen in fear had I been aboard the elephant ride. What a great capture!
Fotosas Photography replied:
Yes, Terri, we were apprehensive that something might happen, but thankfully nothing happened ! There were friends on one of the elephants, and they had a nice story to tell when we met in the evening!
